Zakk is a combat veteran who returned home from Afghanistan in 2011. He came to plant medicine in 2020 as a last resort after years of maladaptive coping mechanisms for managing his PTSD. Through his work with plant medicine, he reconnected with his love for music and his love for service which he brings to the ceremony space. He has extensive first responder training.
